What is an MCP connector?

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector is a secure bridge between Claude and an outside system — your analytics, ad accounts, database, or API. Once connected, Claude can work with that data directly inside your normal chat. Crossroad Media builds custom MCP connectors and hosts them for you.

What’s the difference between a hosted and a local MCP server?

A local MCP server runs on one person’s laptop and disappears on web and mobile — every teammate has to install and configure it. A hosted MCP connector runs on our infrastructure: one URL, one sign-in, and it works in Claude on web, desktop, and phone with nothing to install.

Are custom MCP connectors secure?

Yes. Every connector uses real OAuth — you sign in with your own account, so there is no static key to leak — plus an account allowlist and least-privilege access that only ever sees what you are authorized to see. Endpoints return 401 to anyone who is not explicitly authorized.

How much does a custom MCP connector cost?
